Very nicely captured, Alison, with good colours and detail, and very well separated from the background. I like the way you've included the out of focus one in the background, as an echo of the first.

Alison.....What a composition of slendid beauity. I Love the DOF and the colors. I love everything about this shot. perfect BG to display such a wonderful flower.
Only one tiny nit....The framing you used makes the left side of the shot look as if you miss cropped it along the tree trunk. Perhaps a tad bit thicker frame would elmininate this. Matter of taste tho. I still think this is wonderful with or without the frame.
