City - Chaozhou
State - GUANGDONG
Country - China
This is some of the very old architecture on top of the equally old wall running parallel to the Han River. This type of architecture is fast disappearing in China today, but Chaozhou still has an abundance of it. This image was taken early this morning.

Alison, The buildings do look nice in the evening when they light them up, but I havent tried to photograph that yet.
As for the meaning of the architecture/design, I don't know. Hard to say and I don't think most of the people I know would have an answer either. James
Wonderful color on this building, it must look beautiful at night with the globes lit up. Do the horn like pieces coming off each side of the roof, mean something?? Alison
che che ni James, thanks for showing !
