I sat around for 30 minutes, waiting for her and the MUA to get this face on, and while I love the lips, I do agree that the shadow and cheek-spots are a bit *thick*.

Great shot Paul, very strong. Personally I hope you took some sans the trippy make-up on the cheek bones (and eye lids). I love the scarf on the head and around her neck but not to sure about the extra make-up stuff. In a pinch a couple hours of DELICATE PS would probably do the trick. Nice, intense expression works very well .....Great eyes !!!
So, not saying that the make-up was a bad move, it's just all part of my "Less Is More" general philosophy towards head shots. Well, after that micro evaluation and after all is said and done it's still a beautiful shot...... 7+.
