Well done photograph, good contact and communication with the subjects. You have very impressive portfolio and good eye for pictures. You appear very experienced and mature for Your age.
Think about making money in this business, if You are not doing it already. Trust me I don't write empty comments just to please people. I have done photography professionally for over 14 years and I have seen a lot. Congratulations on the awards!

You did very well Ania firstly in creating trust and interest. Next also technically speaking a surprising composition with pleasant lighting and indeed a successful contrast of big and little. Very good for the project.

Marvellous work, Ania, with good soft hues. The sky might be a little blown out but you've made up for that by including the out of focus figure on the right. I like that very much.

Wonderful feel to this. The strength and bond of these two really makes an impression on my eye. Love the composition and tones. The light on the faces is really nice. I agree with Roderick that the man on right is a little distracting.
That happens in real street work, excellent image and thanks for sharing.

I'm very grateful for all Your advices:)
These are my first steps with street photography and generally with taking pictures of people. I understand Your problem very much, because, I have the same. I think I'm too shy to take photos of unknown people. This picture was taken in Bali, where people are very friendly and like to be on the photos. Balinese children also like tourists so that's why I've managed to take some portraits. I know, that many photographers would critique it, but I always try to have some sweets with me - sometimes it's easier;)
But I dream about taking good street portraits...maybe some day...:)

Ania,
Great shot. I really like how you darkened the edges a bit to keep the focus on the two central figures. You have used the low depth of field very well, with the high aperture value. What ISO did you shoot at?
I think you already darkened the sky a bit already, but I think it is still a bit too overpoweringly bright. Also the figure on the right draws my eye away from the main subjects.
The composition is very nice though, with the big sister being protective of her little brother. I really love how you managed to get the trust of these kids to shoot them in this way. Is this a street photography shot or are these kids you know? If the former I would love to hear how you approached the situation and got your shots. I am experimenting with street photography myself a little, and it always makes me a bit nervous to just go and take picture of people :-).
