About The London Eye, also known as the Millennium Wheel, is the tallest (its height is 135 metres (443 ft) Ferris wheel in Europe, and has become the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom, visited by over 3 million people a year.

At the time it was erected it was the tallest Ferris wheel in the world, until it was surpassed by the Star of Nanchang (160m) in May 2006, and then the Singapore Flyer (165m) on February 11, 2008. However, it is still described by its operators as "the world's tallest cantilevered observation wheel" (because the entire structure is supported by an A-frame on one side only).

The London Eye is located at the western end of Jubilee Gardens, on the South Bank of the River Thames in London, United Kingdom, between Westminster Bridge and Hungerford Bridge. The site is adjacent to that of the former Dome of Discovery, which was built for the Festival of Britain in 1951.

Jen,your picture is as close as I will probably ever get. I have little desire or finances to leave my little heaven on earth. These images fill much of my need to see the world through others eyes. Probably less disappointing than the real thing. Fun to see you try new things. Comfort needs a push from time to time. I enjoy looking at things and wondering which angle would make a good capture.
Be well my friend, Stan

Curves....of course curves, how could i forget my dear??:)) I still feel uncomfortable with grains and lots of PS, give me a straight elephant or lion, they have curves all over and dont need grain:))
Thank you for telling me the truth here, what and where would we be without the wheel and curves????
Nowhere.........its great to have your comment Har, very serious now, need some feedback!!
Lots of hugs here and there, be well, Jen

For me a real big experiment dear AJ, I am in some ways quite old fashion...lolll
For me it looked like a bike's wheel, specially the inside, we have this saying, 'learning on a grandma's bike' but that must be probably a dutch saying with our millions of bikes:)) I dont mean cycling now....but that you guessed I suppose..lol
Anyway, I really appreciate your comment!
Wishing you a lovely weekend, hope any wild plans:) hugs Jenxx

I think its one of London most ugly 'statues' really, you can see it from far away, its amazing its so famous, although you can see far out over the ciry I suppose, didnt even want to spend money on it to go in:))
Thank you so much for liking this dear Stan,
Enjoy your day, big hug, Jen

b/w is perfect to show the essence of a photo. Since the wheel and its shape is the essence, b/w is enhancing it here. I like the grain very much. Suggest to experiment with the size of grain and use of (no) sharpening and gradient curve (in PS select adjusrments -> curves ). You know I LOVE curves. ;-) ;-) I find your view on the things you photograph very good.

A great experiment which I think has worked very well.

I like the square format - it counters the main curve nicely. I also like the way the lines intersect the edge of the image just off from where you might expect. Not sure about the grain - but then I never am as it's something that I don't really seem able to get to grips with!

Maybe I am still a bit shy of trying out this kind of work......I am so used to animals and wild
nature that this is something scary and afraid its
bad....
But maybe you would like to give some comment on my last one as there is some discussion going on there, I would appreciate your opinion in this....txs a lot!:))

yes, a frame is an electronic resource independent of the quality of the picture, but a nice frame can adds a lot if the picture is good (of course)
you know i love BW, just do not limit yourself, keep experimenting and in the end you'll find your way

I think a toy like this in the middle of the centre is quite dramatic too dear Dave:)
Its standing there near the Thames River, like a
lost piece of a circus:)

Elk so much more!!

A very dramatic composition, Jen, and I like your perspective here! The b/w and somewhat grainy background really suits the image, as well.
