Thanks for the kind words Brigitte. This is my favorite lens. I pondered for a long time on weather or not I needed to spend the extra money on the f2.8 version verses the f4.0 version. I actually went as far as to go out and ask professional photographers their opinions on the lens.
The f2.8 is great for indoor/low light photography and so far has not left me wanting. I have seen comments about the weight of this lens bothering people, but that has not been a problem for me. It is a bit on the heavy side, however you get used to that. Besides, the absolutely tack sharp images that I get from this lens will throw any concern about weight right out the window.
One thing to note: most people know that white lenses mean quality/pro gear, and you will get noticed when you have it out in public. Just be weary of would-be thieves.
If you get this lens, I don't think you will be disappointed in the least.
This is just such a perfect and beautiful fall photo! So sharp and clear... beautiful details and great lighting. I totally love this! I have been to Holland, MI also and had a wonderful time there...such a lovely little city. Especially nice in spring! Again, a very exceptionally well done photograph. Congratulations, Jonathan!! 7/7
