><)))'> is an icon for a fish. This is a photo of a dead smolt of a Chinook Salmon. The Game department has tried to reistablish salmon and steelhead in Salmon Creek. They have closed it to fishig for several years because they planted these hatchery salmon and steelhead in Salmon Creek. The problem is that the last two miles of the creek run dry. They run water down the creek for about 2 weeks and try to flush down all the salmon and steelhead. Most of them do not make it and millions of dollars are wasted on fish. The water is diverted about for irrigation to orchars. There used to be year round water in Salmon Creek but now its nothing but a death trap for fish. Both those wahed down from the creek and those that try to come up from the river.
