About	I lived in Riyadh in 1982. One morning a pickup truck with a diesel engine as load passed our house. It was spitting big clouds of smoke in the street. Later I learned this was done to kill insects or its larves. Dont know what stuff was used, it may have well been DDT or so. Reminds me of a flight to Australia, After landing an australian official came aboard with 2 spray cans of insectice , he sprayed nicely while walking through the plane. Ugh ugh and I stopped breathing as long as possible. Slide 1982

I can only imagine what the aftermath of this was. Hope the bugs had a horrible death. The collateral damage to people never made the news. Scary thought.
