Hi Kes,
I like the way the back light allows the Gibbon to stand out in the image. I think a closer crop would have worked on this image as well. But this crop gives a greater feeling of isolation. So It works for a different reason.

It is a very powerful image my friend and nature with it's wildlife has fallen down the scales of power by a massive amount. Sad to witness! A great shot Kes in excellent tones, very moody and highly provacative, well done. My very best wishes to you as always....Ray
