And there is a small plastic water bottle on the ground... If you did not see it when you took this photo....... it still says a lot about the world in general. Whatever the time, whatever the history... new things come along and change the city.

Very similar to old cities of Iran, .. These roofed alleies are used for mitagating hot sunshine, rain , and for security as well. Very good shot, .. Thank you for sharing Aziz

thank you dear Harry, it is the needs,that is the mother of invention, and yes,old Mosul have an open sewage disposal system,it is only about twenty years ago when a closed system being adopted to the city,and only for the new quarters, my best, Saad.
