This is truly creative, Rick - and an interesting experiment (she said filing it away for future consideration). :) The macro itself is lovely, beautiful composition and lighting. The new color choice is a good one as well.
Something you might want to try (this is in no way a criticism, but an additional suggestion) is to play with the contrast. When you start with a wonderful photo like this, the variations are endless, and I thank you for the inspiration. :)

Hi Rick,
I think it is so hard to photograph red flowers and catching the different shades of red well. I understand your try to turn an original yellow flower into a red one, but I think you should try to make some more contrast in the coloring. I hope you don't mind telling you this.
The composition is great and I like the details with the waterdrops in de leafes. Very clear!
