thanks Harry, I put my gun away many years ago so the messenger is quite safe. I will try what you have suggested. I just posted a sepia version that I tried some noise reduction on. I think it was a little better and also dedicated to the messenger. I will play with the setting you have given me and see what I can do . Thanks as always, your friend.

Stan,
If I may speak from my heart, the original has not the top quality sharpness none needs for a cut out as you did, and it looks overprocessed to me. I suggest:
-use a larger part of the image as you did now
-use auto contrast on PS
-use auto color and then fade back to eg 50%
-very very light sharpness enhancement
That should do it.
Please dont shoot the messenger ;-)

Morning Harry, big difference between honesty and grumpy. I take it as a positive, honest critique. Just not sure how I use noise reduction. I will do a little research on it and try to find the right settings and tools for it. Such a nice animal I posted in imperfection anyway. I will try a B/W version today and see if I can quite the noise. Did you look at the original I posted to Gerhard on this page? Have a great day and remember life is good! Just some of the people around us can make it a little harder.

Great catch Stan. ISO 800 or 1600 I use frequently but then I use a good noise filter. I might consider using b/w here.
Hmm maybe I am just moaning at you, sorry if that is the case.
Posiibly a grumpy day .

Thanks Nacho, he is a beautiful young buck. I just love to see them right out my door. The cold weather brings them into my yard looking for grass and of course the hay I have for my horses. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!!

Thanks Riny, tomorrow is the last day of hunting season and I hope he makes it without incident. I shot him with my camera instead of my rifle. The light was brutal but shot in raw to try and still have some color to the image..
