Hmm... well, Saad, art is long, life is short. ;-)

But come on now, you speak as if you expected the the Grim Reaper behind the corner! ;-) And as we see you do proceed fast. If you get any faster you will get superluminar!

Cheers!

Nick, may be you are young, and you are,but me ....wow wow, young only by soul,my hair if we compare it yours,as if we are comparing,a sip of water to the ocean,
and as you say,we have to go on learning, but I want to learn what I do not know fast, and at utmost fastness,I have only this short life ,and I have to fulfill my eager soul for learning,
Saad.

You are always welcome, Saad!

I know you go your way and make your own steps. This is completely certain to me. You have the interest, the mind, the will, everything that is needed for that, and so you just can't fail. You will notice your steady progress if you compare from time to time what you do now with what you did in the past. And take time, there is no need for a hurry - we are young enough! ;-)

But so it goes: Unfortunately we don't come in this world with the knowledge and the skills and so we try, we learn, and hope to get better as the time passes by. This evolution is the fun of it actually.

Cheers!

Nick

I have to thank you for your honesty with me my dear Nick, that is why I am here,to learn, and to learn more, but me ,I guess with a lot of others,we just get beautiful shot, nice shot and so,thank you again for giving me a low composition rank,PROMISE I will improve it,
thank you again,
Saad.

Use the available objects in the sense of your composition. I dodn't see of course the ines you don't post, but I see the general character of the other pictures you post. They have one thing in common many times. And that is: a very weak sense for composition. It is all flat what I see. Not a bad thing for itself, but for such images, like thins one, it really doesn't produce the strongest impression.

Cheers!

I have done that Nick, have many shots of this view, but each one has some fault, one having a ladder, the other have the legs of my friends, one do not satisfy me,and I have chosen this one even without cropping the tray at the round,
my regards,
Saad.

But still it allows to try many differnt things than the 100% face-to-face image. And it is also a good camera for most situations. I think you will have much fun with it if you go for the more distinct perspectives and angles.

Cheers!

I am glad that it was an improvement, Stan. Saad went the same way but also some steps further than I did, already before I posted the attachment.

One thing is sure. Those old houses are really worth a series. This is what I am doing now here in Lucerne. So many really great interiors of older houses!

Which doesn't mean that the more modern ones don't have their own charms.

Cheers!

thank you Stan, the G9 is the best of those aim and shoot cameras,it have a raw format plus the good optics, and I agree with you absolutely about what we have shot is for our happiness, and yes we have do what relieves us from the life stress, nevertheless, correcting what we do to the next level,is more joyful, provided that we have the soul that accepts the others opinion,I really enjoy positive critiques that improve my work, have a good, and happy time,
Saad.

Hi Saad, the G9 is a great camera. You have made some excellent images.. Remember that it is all in the personal impressions of what is captured. I liked the enhanced versions because the colors and light showed more of the image. Your humble shots kick my but on a regular basis. Remember, we do what makes us happy and what we see as the good. Life is good even in hard situations because we have good people around us.
Be well my friend, Stan

this is G9 Nick,it is point and shoot camera, may be this is not an excuse, but I have accepted what I get from it,thank you for the good points, and remarks

Saad.

So it seems to all boild down to the same thing, Saad. It needed more exposure as Garry pointed out.

About perspective... why correcting it afterwards. It would be much better to not only stand in front of each and every subject and get it 100% flat. One can knie down, lie on the floor, get close to some good corner, try it from high, anything. So perspective can be achieved right when whooting.

Cheers!

thank you dear Stan, and yes he done a good thing by correcting the perspective, but the contrast is the same between his attachment and mine, and yet it needs more ,the tray had to be cropped,it got nothing to do in the shot,I hope you agree with me,
and yes again this is the learning way for sure, not only for me but for any one who have the intension to learn,
thank you again for you time, and your interest in my humble shots,
my best regards,
Saad.

Nice about to give reference to this very nice structure.I looked at the two reworks of this and yours was nice and I really like the one of Nick's. Really enhanced the beauty that you had captured. I agree with the others on the posted image but that is how we get better.
Be well, Stan

I think it needed higher contrast, Saad. I tried to raise it by adjusthing the levels (attachment). And it needed some less centering and some strong perspective too. It would enhance it to see it with some exaggeration of some leading lines taken from the inside.

Very good details of the arabesques!

Cheers!

Adjusted levels for contrast

Saad Salem Saad Salem   {K:89003} 12/8/2008
thank you again Garry, and you are absolutely right about the image,I have checked the original, and it was brighter,I have reduced the mid tones value by some 12%,a step to the worse ,
this the original image, with just remapping the white tones,
thank you so much for your notes,my best wishes,
Saad.

There's some nice detail here Saad and some graceful aging. Light levels are a little low, though and the image might be helped by increasing the exposure a little.
Regards, Gary
