the color and composition here are sensational, but the focus is a bit disconcerting. i went through a bunch of your nature photos and saw the same general pattern, so i am wondering if this is a conscious choice? if so, it would help (only because we are in critique corner) if you explained it in your notes. in a couple of your photos, it looked like you were focused on the back of the composition, and the general rule of thumb is to focus 1/3 into the scene from the camera. but if the lighting/speed requirements stick you with a low f-stop, you are out of luck anyway. this is truly a beautiful photo, enormously evocative of the fading of summer into fall. but without some sharper focus, you will not have success blowing it up to print size. you can apply post-processing to sharpen it, but it is much better to get the job done in-camera, yes? just a thought.
