ahh right.. well back when I was just a lad.. say 27 28 yo we used to have a shortish storm season commencing round Jan through Feb.. each year.. the storms would come.. rarely at night tho.. nowadays with the planet in the mess it is in we are seeing irregular "spikes" in the weather pattern which makes a mockery of "averages" as the sway all over the place these "spikes" which they like to call weather events.. are pretty weird and the seasonal pattern has been destroyed.. Howver it is nice to be able to say the grass is green again and the tanks (of drinking water, which you guys call cisterns I think) are full. After five years of drought and an empty dam (we live on 25 acres)the place is looking good again.. and given that I am 58 this year I have to say the global warming which has been softened to climate change will not bite me as hard as as it will my kids or my kids kids... so I am mereley enjoying the ride, whilst trying as much as possible to reduce my carbon footprint although I suspect after 26.5 years in the coal mining industry (until I retired last year) I will never redress the balance...Have a ripper christmas and a rockin new year Shel

Excellent! I too love storm shots. Don't get a lot here though. Seems they always happen late at night, or I am at work.

I love summer storms...rolling, rumbling... growling across the land and digging gouges of emotion out of our staple existance...
