I too was impressed to see the awkward little birds so high up the hill. It is interesting how creatures manage to adapt to the situation presented to them.

Well I have to qualify that last statement. I did not get to the top because a huge wind storm hit when I got to the ridge that knocked many of us off our feet. So i thought it wise to head back. But many of us were further along and in the lee of the wind. So they managed to top out.....was amazing to see the Chinstrap penguins that far up nesting on the ridge. That was totally unexpected. What a haul for them to go up and down.

We couldn't actually make it up to the peak, the snow was too deep so we just went to the top of the ridge.

We went to the top of Spigot peak...was cool to see so far into the distance from there
