The focal point was surely the yellow object, Aziz, but I also think now that a very narrow aperture would be appropriate for enlargening the DoF in order to inlude at least the steps. Let me see what it looks like then, but thanks you very much already for the good input.
I also play with the idea to retry this but reduce DoF to contain only that object. Let's see.
Cheers!

Nick As far as my eyes could see and distinguish, the steps and side wall are not sharp enough. I assume the focal point has been on the yellow metal, and may be due to low aperture no. other parts are a bit blurred ! Regards Aziz

What do you mean exactly with "Defficiency of sharpness dof", Aziz? On all the image or some areas? And if you mean the latter, then which areas do you mean?
Thanks a lot for the nice detailed comment again!

Thanks a lot, Dave, and you read my mind. The splash of color by camera/lens only was a strong reason for this one. The one I posted today was shot with the same idea in mind, but I think that it is better in this sense than this one.
Cheers!

I think the splash of colour amid the monochrome of the stonework is good here, Nick. Dave.
