About The idea was to have just a few colors and a rather fuzzy DoF out of which the bottom of the bottle should "emerge". I don't know in how far it worked. Any comments would be very welcome.

Thanks a lot again, Ian! I tend to prefer the soft focus over the whole image now, as also Marcio pointed out. (Attached a retouched image for hom.) So we all converge to that dorection in this case, which is interesting to know.

Cheers!

Thanks a lot Aylin!

I hope the image itself did justice to the idea.

Cheers and thanks a lot, oh and there is one for you at http://www.usefilm.com/image/1497836.html just because you told me you liked the yellow of that object. ;-)

Cheers!

Softened the sharp parts after Marcio's idea

Nick Karagiaouroglou Nick Karagiaouroglou   {K:127263} 1/31/2009
Thanks a lot for the nice detailed comment, Marcio!

Well... I never thought of soap while drinking but now that you say... Like those translucent soaps of glycerine, isn't it? So, we see now that whisky is good for keeping the inside clean! ;-)

But seriously now, I tried your idea of a totally soft image and softened the bottle and the sharp part of the surface of the table. (Attachment.) Yes, it works very well this way! Thanks a lot for the nice suggestion!

Cheers!

it is still liquid fire. I don't think the edge of the counter being in focus helps.
