This classical european beauty is a symbol of the colonization of this land.I've blacklisted it till now. :) It seems to be two concurrent planes here: the shallow scrunched silk of the leaves, the deep shadow of the trunk.

This time the "aquarell" has also a background just some centimeters behind the tree, Ian. It looks like haviung a "second" layer which contains the shadows of the tree. So, you arificially reduced the depth by combining the dark background at infinity and some of the branches to a "real existing" layer right behind your apparent main object. very interesting!!
