Thanks for the comments Matej. Here is the untouched, uncropped original scan...i didnt like the saturated bluish-magenta tinge to her fur so tried to get rid of it. I have had this printed from the negative and the colors are good there...so i guess this is a scan issue. let me know what i can do better with it. best regards
OK, the burning in the attached photo looks like cheap spray, but you get the idea :-) I think with the original hi-res scan it should work much better.
The low angle works very well. The shallow DOF eliminates, to some extent, the less than inspiring background. Is that white wall a shed of some sort? I'd prefer to have it across the entire image, the abrupt ending is a bit distracting.
The lighting seems difficult here. Her face is dark, losing all detail in places, while the fur on her body is grey. I think some dodging and burning would help this problem - lighten the face, darken the body.
There's something dark in the top right corner, you might want to remove that.
