Roger, I'm quite certain that the reason my genius hasn't been recognized is that I'm not dead yet. Plus my photographs tend to be mediocre. Anyway, while I'm sure that Japan has many nice little environmental disasters of its own, California's Salton Sea is really something special!

Great image, love the title! That must have been SOME massacre upstream...

Can't understand why this didn't attract more interest and comment, Larry. It's a remarkable documentary photo. When I saw the thumbnail I thought (much like you) "Oh no, more PhotoShop 'Art'" but this is the real McCoy. I came across it because it was just thrown up by Usefilm's "random photo" function. Praise be!
