Wow, thanks, Agustin. I'm unsure where all this is leading, but I just know I get an intense rush in trying new things, new angles and having them end up as I'd visualized.
It sometimes worries me when people say they 'like my style' because that sounds to me as if I have settled into defined patterns, which I really don't want to do.
I sure wish you COULD hang with me during a shoot. I love sharing as much as I love shooting. If you ever have any questions about how something was lit or shot, just ask.
-Paul

(initially confused, since there is no watermark on this shot, but...)
My watermark is nothing more than a text layer, Harry, with a couple of important distinctions:
- I set the white text in Photoshop with a drop shadow, so even when placed on a pure white background, it shows up.
- I turn opacity down to about 20%. My thinking here is to make the image SO compelling that the person cannot help but to study the shot. It only takes about 3 seconds before the eye darts over and reads the watermark.
My watermark is there purely for marketing purposes, and isn't there in any naive belief it will prevent theft.

Sir Paul ,
I noticed you always have/had such a love watermark on your images. I know you are a kind man and will help me in finding something similar, something much better as your friend Phil and me myself are using. I know you are a Saint.
Thank you Sir Paul.;)

Great shot, maybe strob on ground facing up would have given catch light, however this is a great shot. I love the perspective. cheers Shane

Thanks, Peter. It's always unfortunate when you realize AFTER the fact what could have made the big difference. Live and learn. ;)

Love the series Paul - Your crit about the catchlight is my only negative crit here - I think your use of colour is outstanding

Thanks, Harry. I really wish I had set the 3rd strobe to create a gleam in her eye. Oh well.

This is a fantastic portrait, with great clarity and detail, lovely model, and a Perfessional Photographer, now I do like the black top, but in shoes, I know I am old so I don't wear high heels, now when I was young I did, but looking back it is a wonder I didn't break something. BK
