About My wife and I were walking through an area in the woods where we had never been before. I was looking for birds to shoot. We heard some noises that sounded like kids having a real good time. Just like other "wildlife", the closer we got the quieter they got. We stumbled across some kind of "secret Lost Boys" hideout where 12 year old boys get away from their Mothers and do boy things without fear. They put up with us watching for a few minutes and didn't seem to mind me taking a few pictures. But, when we left the area, I couldn't help noticing how their voices rose with the joy of being free from the eyes of adults again.
We were from another world, as far as they were concerned.
I hope they don't grow up too soon. :)

I liked the look of this one in particular because of the light through the trees and the great colours. My wife said it looked a bit like a fairy tale. I said I thought it was like a scene from Peter Pan's island. So, that's why the title Lost Boys.

Thanks Mojgan,
I thought about desaturating this one a little bit. But then I thought it was better to leave it bold and bright, with rich colours for a more upbeat mood.
Thanks
Andre

Thanks Marcio,
Sometimes the moment is just "right" for the image. I had a few choices for the project of this one. I see what you mean about the ramp leading to the brighter part of the sky. It is something I didn't notice before, but I like it too, now that you mention it.
Thanks
Andre

Hi Ray,
Thanks for the comment.
As soon as I took these, I just knew I wanted to post them.
I haven't been around much lately. I've been taking pictures, but not posting a lot. I will have to catch up soon.

Thanks Darryl,
I'm always pleased to get a comment back like yours. It's great when you actually touch a nerve or stir emotions in people with an image. Watching these guys also reminded me of my own two boys at that age. I'm glad I caught some of the spirit of the moments.

Yes Andre,
The lights in the trees are superb.
One of them seems to continue to ramp up that boy to sky..
Put it in the "Emotions" project Andre...pure adrenaline.

A great title Andre and yes, it could be a scene straight out of Peter Pan with one of the lost boys having a great time. This is a wonderful action shot and the subject is nicely balanced against the approaching ramp. Excellent lighting and beautiful natural tones. Well done to you my dear friend. All the best Andre. Hope you and your wife are both well..........Ray

What fond memories you photo brings back. I remember back to when my son was that age and was into BMX bikes on dirt tracks. We had several acres of land and he and I spent many hours mowing trails and making jumps for him to ride. Thanks for reminding me of those wonderful times with your photo.

Hi Dave,
This place is completely surrounded on all sides by thick woods and brush. The only way in is through very narrow trails. It is very well hidden, just the way kids like it. :) Just the kind of place that makes you wish you were a kid again.
