Of course you are right Ania......they are indeed needed but I wish they were better provided for. I know they have their warm fur and their many wild relatives never have the comfort of a home but it still seems so sad to me. Carry on your good work my dear friend. You know, city cats without their homes are NECESSARY... Especially in big cities but not only big ones... Imagine how many rats would be walking on streets if all of their main enemies were only at home... AND the fact is that we need them, just many people don't know it (or don't want to know)... That's why we have to help them, because winter is a bad time for them and that's sad when some people are enemies to animals which are our friends...
The Warsaw authorities employed (yes, officially!) some homeless cats to guard the cellars of the Palace of Culture. They have their salaries even, which are given to a man who buys them food, and takes them to vet when necessary.

I am proud to have you as a friend Ania, what a lovely girl you are to feed the strays. It is such a sadness that they become homeless but I pleased to report that we do not appear to have any in our neighbourhood but I do know they exist in the big cities. So so sad.
