Natural light really makes this enjoyable for viewing. I also like the composition. Good work..and I'm glad you didn't get a sting for your trouble.

David.. great details.. of this bug with your Nikon Coolpix 4500. Did you use a special macro lens attachment.. or used the camera as it is. If u did use as it is, could you send me a note on focus.. My camera which is coolpix 4500 goes crazy with focus.. at macro levels.. what do you suggest?

Ich! Wasps (Forgive me that is just my irrational fear kicking in) Great colors. Excellent framing. Even the DOF makes it look like it is right on top of you and ready to attack.

You've done real justice documenting the disposition of this particular wasp, which is generally not aggressive. Looks as though she is as inquisitive about you as you are of her. An alien species looking at another, in my opinion. An alternate title might be, "Who's in There?". Spectacular image, David.

tha's quite a picture...i'd say the color is the most dominate feature here...I think just a bit of selective sharpening (eyes, especially) would give this some real punch...I like the upside down and in your face feel to the picture...captured some great detail
