fabulous minimalistic composition subhro, b/w tones are perfect...infact i like the sky without any clouds because the theme is minimalistic...i love the grains because it adds a rugged texture...a perfect 7 for me

P.S: I would have loved to see a shadow of the tree

Regards
Ani

Subhranil Das Subhranil Das   {K:6869} 6/6/2009
Thanks Suvro....the grainy texture of the sky is primarily because of the high ISO(400) that i had to use due to the fact that i was not carrying my tripod....and while trying to convert it to BW by channel mixer, the grains got all the more prominent. So i did add some noise to the final image to mask the textured sky as well as to enhance the mood of the image.

Nice shot. I wonder what caused the texture in the sky. It is too bad that there was no cloud at all.
