The bombers flew at night from UK to Hamburg and flew over my parents house near Groningen to Germany. One plane crashed nearby a place called Pasop.

looks like you are in Cavtat near Dubrovnik.. the planes there are coming into land .. so low and so close to the public.. awesome.. not at all like the sound of a Lanc tho... now these http://www.youtube.com:80/watch?v=ao979HVhFvk may no be Rolls Royce Merlins.. but it still brings a tear to my eye...my dad flew in these as a navigator WWII
