Amazing detail and wonderful, rich lighting make this on my favorite of the three! I love the way the white of the petals turns to creamy yellow toward the center. The soft shadows sculpt the shapes beautifully - can't beat natural light for that! Really nice!

Beautiful!! The wonderful dark pink edge to the inner petals is what catches my eye the most. The petals look so delicate and transluscent, very enchanting. You've captured the soul of these peonies, which have always gven me fits. Terrifc work!

Of the 3 peonies photos I like this one the best. There's something you do with all your flower close-ups that is very painterly, yet captures the details. I think it's your lighting. Whenever you are able to take advantage of natural light your florals seem to glow from within. This one surely does. You've captured the many shades of white, from cream to pink to light blue, and the bluish background is nice here. I like it better than black. Our peonies are just starting to bud in Wisconsin, everything is late. We still get down to the 40's at night.
