Extremely well defined in its colors, details and contours, Dave! Your focus was great! In this case the loss of focus on its one antenna and the contours of the one wing doesn't seem to disturb at all the clear appealing view. The patterns on the wings are more than enough for that.
The background surely helped the main subject to stand out strongly, but I think that here the softness of the very close foreground also helped a lot. Add the nicely balanced composition and here we are a very good work on wildlife photography.
