Thanks for your comment Randy! All Maltese geological layers are limestone except for Blue Clay (which is obviousy clay). If I remember correctly the type of rock deposit in this part of the island should be Globigerina limestone.

Wow.............. Beautiful colors and contrast. I live on the coast in the western US but have never seen cliffs so white. What is the composition. Here in Oregon, it's mostly clay, sand and basalt.

Beautiful, wish I was there... nice image with excellent clarity especially in the water below. The people left in the image at the top of the land really help the image in that they show exactly how grand this scenic place is. 7/7
