About Another picture taken as I was walking to the camera store. Inverted in Photoshop, I thought it looked more interesting.

mkanemoto at the gmail dot com if you ever want to work a "partnership". Every once in a while I will take someone else's photograph and tweak it out for them in PS and send it back. If you ever have that really special shot that you want a second take on, send it here with as the highest quality jpg.

Thanks for your great comments Michael, I really appreciate it. I agree, many comments here (and probably in other photo communities) are basically just 'great photo' with nothing constructive. I try and see what could make a photo better (albeit not always successfully).

I like the work you did on my photos, especially the Halo. That looks much much better. For the picnic table photo, it's good except maybe a tad too green, at least on my monitor. The magenta does bug me, but I've had it in several other photos too, so I decided the light was actually like that (perhaps a bit accentuated by the film) and left it as is.

As for this photo, it's been here forever, explaining the many hits :-).
I took a quick look at your portfolio too, you have some pretty amazing shots. Like you I would like my "vacation snapshot[s to] transcend into landscape art photography"! Vacations are about the only time I get to take nice pictures.

Anyway, thanks for your comments.
Cheers!
Marc

Marc:

Great image. Graphic in nature, and almost like a architecture drawing. Nice to see a high # of views on this one.

I like the inversion a lot, it drew me in for a look before any of the others in your portfolio. Looks like a building in Dallas, though, from this angle, they all look alike.. tall and mean.

Strong, high impact image. I prefer the inversion over the original. I like the image as-is better than if the reflection cross lines were vertical. However I wonder what it would be like if you mirrored it in PS a couple of times to make 3 reflection cross lines. For this, however, the lines should perhaps be vertical.

I like this one. The three "peaks" at the top of the building make me think of mountains - on the other hand, the picture also reminds me of how the first attempts at 3-D-graphics in computer games during the 1980s looked like. If you?d like to strenghten that "computer"-effect, I?d suggest maybe tilting the camera a little so that the line where the reflections cross divides the image vertically. Thus you?d form an axis of symmetry that would further abstract the content. Btw: The inversion looks really cool and helps a lot to attract attention. Oh, and: I believe, there is a tree in the lower right corner (not really distracting, though).

I'm posting the original before inversion.
