only the alpha 700,and 900 are good,the others have not approved by the hard ware pros,my self ,I have tested the 100 and 200,they are inferior to the Minolta Maxum,that constitute the skeletons of their bodies.
but in my humble opinion ,it is not the camera that do the shots,if you are lucky and found the proper subject,even some aim and shoot will do the job,
my best shot,have captured by 100$ camera,

I think not,mine is D3,it is much bigger than the D700 of yours,you have to buy a D3x to beat me,haha.
