this is the ONLY one out of the shots i captured at this temporary chinese opera backstage that came out correctly exposed. i had to work without the tripod because of space constraint. Special thanks to these talented hosts who so readily granted me permission backstage. it was nice to see the camaraderie in this closely-kint community.
Great shot for being hand held. I have read and used the following for a lightweight but effective monopod. Go to the hardware store and pick up a 20-thread 1/4 inch eyebolt. Get a piece of string app 5 feet. Attach the string to the eyebolt and screw it into your tripod mount on your camera. Drop the string and step on it with your foot. Then push up on your camera. Instant monopod.
