About	I saw this rusty old ladder and thought the shapes were interesting. And turned out there was a beam of light shining from somewhere too. Would more DOF have improved this one? I'm not sure whether I like or dislike the blurriness of the far objects.

Hi, Thanks for the commments everyone. I will redo this one next time I'm in that area, with a tripod this time. I'll be able to get more DOF and improve the composition. I hope the ladder and cart will still be there.
Again, thanks for the Critique. I hope to have some new photos some time soon.

Hi Marc,

Thanks for your comments on my photo.
For this picture I think I have to agree with Steve. More DOF here would certainly be a plus. Also I think, if possible, I would have tried to incorporate the entire air duct in the upper right. Nicely composed!

Marc,

There are several choices here. Either have a shallower DOF, which will blur the BG more, or have everything in focus. This DOF doesn't fit the scene.

The cart isn't a problem for me since it adds some visual interest.
