I always feel a bit self-indulgent discussing my own photographs to be honest, which is why I only ever give a brief 'about'. But, it's a wee bit of a departure from my landscape work and something I do from time to time, as some of my other photographs will no doubt tell you. I enjoy these departures and they definitely help to remind me what I love about this art medium. Why this photogaph? Well, I liked the natural frame of the arch and the abstract image it helped to create. I also liked the main 'identifiers' in the lit element of the image set against a plain background.
