This temple is located on top of Mingfeng (Singing Phoenix) Hill and is the home of the Taoist Taihe Palace (Hall of Supreme Harmony), which is the largest copper temple in China. It is also known as the Tongwa Temple (Bronze Tile Temple) and by its popular name, the Golden Temple.

Yes Yunnan is a rural province, is also the one with most ethnic minorities groups. The capital of the province, Kunming, is now working hard to make a skyline and underground lines, but mentality is not like Beijing or Shanghai. There are a lot of nice place in Yunnan, but we are in the money era and most of this beautiful resort are now super commercial. Also in the park of the Golden Temple there were huge commercial areas, I hope it was an exception, because I visited it in the chinese golden week :)
