About I visited the battlefield when Custer met his end at the hands of 3,000 Indians. I am not sure if the legend of Custer is known around the world... but here, in America... the story is timeless and even after 134 years... General George Armstrong Custer stirs emotions. I was taking this pic when a park ranger walked out and opened the door. He saw me and instantly apologized... I told him "No worries, man. I just wanted a photo of a FIREARMS PROHIBITED sign on a national battlefield. He nodded, took two steps turned to me and said, "The irony of that just hit me." I smiled, snapped this shot and answered back, "And all it took was some fella from Illinois to point it out." Today... I walked the battlefield where an American legend died... and American history was written. Earlier today I walked the hallowed ground of Custer's Last Stand.

finally... some hope for the usa and the rest of the world (if you prohibit the use of firearms on battlefields:))
...
custer was an extremely stupid and brutal commander, I read once, who stubbornly refused to take warnings of his officers about the strength of the united indian forces seriously.
nevermind, I'd like to pay hommage rather to sitting bull and all the brave indian warriors who fought a just war against the us cavalry&other troops - brutal exterminators on behalf of a thieving government.
