For a scanner that has seen such hard duty, it's not surprising! :) It's a wonderful effect, though, and really does look like a deep space shot or maybe a cell under a microscope. Very creative!

Those lines may be scratches but the points seem to be just simply dirt, as they also appear on my images too but change position each time I clean the surface with alcohol. Best regards
