Yen, you are right, washed out skies are a a pain but mainly in colour pictures, in BW white skies are just another "volume" that must counterbalance the blacks, if you can do it well doesn't bother me the absence of details Thanks so much for your imput and my ver y best Jd

Like the angle, framing and the hint of color in the building. One thing that seems to bother me is the white, featurless shy. It is just not this photo - any with a washed out sky I always wish I could do something {if only I knew a lot more} different. Having said that, I should also add that for me it seems to work on first impression and I may be over thinking. Thanks for sharing.
