About I call this idyllic, but in fact this is a small area of water left in the San Gabriel River. The rest of the river bed is slowly drying up and the fish and fowl there are suffering. This is the result of drought - we are here in Texas under very extreme drought conditions.

Hallo Riny! Yes, I agree with you about nature - being out there takes one away from the stress of everyday life.

Fortunately in our little town, we have some beautiful parks and wild spaces to spend time. In my home country, Norway, we have more of these and when I am there I am often hiking or walking in the woods.

Please send some of those storms to Texas, we need the rain!

Thank you Nanda. Wrt the blur: this is shot with a lensbaby composer using the single glass optic - the lens concentrates on one sweet-spot of focus (the more one stops down, the larger the sweet-spot), the rest is blurred more and more as one goes beyond the focal point, which here is the head of the duck.

I have not seen any other users of this lens on UF, but hope to see some in future :)
