I really like your suggestion, I think it would work nicely, but I also agree with you on getting the dog to cooperate. This was not my dog, (I don't own one) he wandered up to me when I was shooting, so it was totally spontaneous; he saw me and abruptly went on his way--your idea would make a cool shot though--thank you for your suggestion

Very nice image. Allow me to suggest a slightly different scene for you to try when you have the chance. What if the dog was facing the other direction, walking away from you? Positioned not so far (or else it wouldn't be noticed) and not so close... The railroad looks endless and the dog would walk towards this "end" as if it could ever be reached...
Yes, I understand the issues of asking a dog to do so! hehehe
