Hi Toni! Just popped by for a post and visit. I haven't been around much lately. Nice to see a few familiar faces still posting once in a while. Nice mantis shot. They can be very photogenic sometimes. Funny you have it in the Fairies and Woodlands portflio. When they fly close by, they are as much like fairies as any other insect. They do come in various shades of brown and green. I think it's an enviornmental thing. I'm not 100% sure, but I think they are a bit like chameleons, changing slowly depending on the surroundings. I've been doing mostly Wildlife and Nature shots lately with a few other things every once in a while. Visit my site if you get a chance. Talk to you later, Andre

Thanks Sudeera. I grayed it down somewhat, but it was more yellowish from the sun to begin with -- no green. It is a tan or beige. I thought they were green too, but this one isn't!

Wonderful macro capture with great details. Is it really gray in color? I thought Mantis are green and can't change its colors.
