Photoshop can get a bit touchy when you try to do too much with what's there. The colors tend to get blotchy and noisy when you bump up saturation too hard. A higher resolution scan would help you when cropping. Rezzing files up in Photoshop are usually detrimental to the image unless you start with a pretty big file and use Genuine Fractals. Nice shot of the woodpecker though! )

Yes, Dawn. There was some zooming in PS and cropped. This was a picture I took when I first started my adventures with photography with SLR camera. Thank you for taking the time to view and comment.

Nice shot Debbie, I love the colors and the compositon. A little soft on my screen, could be the scan or was it alot of cropping? Nice.
