there is something going on here, perhaps to do with the scanning or the compression, that looses the definition in the details making it look almost loke a painting. For that reason I like it a lot.

I like your shot a lot. Good composition and fine colours. In this case I would like to see it sharper so you can spot their faces a bit. Perhaps it is your scanner or else you may use Photoshop.
