Thanks so much Art. Really appreciate you info. Always helps! I was there shooting after sundown but still decent lighting and then I got plum dark and I was shooting 30 and 60 second exposures. This one I had the ISO set up to high at 800. That's where I went wrong on this image. I have another one that was shot about 45 minutes after this one with and ISO of 100 and I think a 30 second exposure. Ill post it up next and look forward to hearing your thoughts on that one. Deepest appreciation for your kind help Art!
Best wishes,
Paul

Hi Paul....Not sure what you mean about the UV light. We have the Appalachian Mountains here and the Blue Ridge Parkway that runs through them along the east coast. Provides great scenic mountain views. Thanks for looking Paul. Always appreciate your time and comments.
Warm Regards,
Paul

greetings paul,. very nice scene, great colour,. also had problems in the past with high iso setting, always noisy and fuzzy, alls i can recomend is set iso to 200 or even 100 and set other data to comply, as 1/60 is really a slow speed but not long exposure , try going into bulb mode 1sec up to 30sec,. ofcourse i'm speaking as an amateur and just trying to help, for me was lots of tral and error,. also i find it helps to put in 5sec delay to shoot to stop vibration,. hope this helps,. best regards art,.

A beautiful image Pilgrim, love the composition and colour. Is the UV light as it appears? We have mountains in Aus, west of Sydney, that are always this colour and they are know as the Blue Mountains

Thank you Clay. Haven't done much long exposure shooting so still learning how to balance the noise and still get a really sharp image. Think Im going to need a bigger sensor... D700 maybe. Cant quit afford the D800. Still my dream camera however...:)
Warm Regards with much appreciation,
Paul
