Love the contrast of the dried vegetation below and the tree that is turning into it's fall colors against the big blue sky. Nice capture. Wish that sign hadn't been there.

I like your interpretation very much Jan, my wife likes it more than the original. I'm not sure it reflects the uniqueness of an Australian Landscape though. For me, the harsh Australian light is a feature to embrace.
Agree the sign is superfluous to good composition but it tells about the geology of the region and the limestone quarry at the village (a key part of the pictorial essay I will present over the next few days).
I'm flattered you have taken the time to exchange and demonstrate ideas Jan. Much appreciated and enjoyed.

Sign away, Darker , more golden weegs, some light in the tree.
Sky darker, clods more prominent.
Down left the sky a tone of turquoise white cloud stripe.

Agree jan, as far as the individual photo is concerned, the sign is distracting but hopefully it contributes to my essay on Galong.

A lovely detailed landscape image with beautiful colors.
Nicely exposed with good lighting. Nice perspective and I like the tall grass in the foreground with gives nice contrast. Nice visual and initial impact. Excellent technical excellence. Well done Paul.
