About I had just eaten this banana, and saw that the inside of the skin could almost look like the fruit, so thought I'd try and artistically arrange the skin to make it appear as if there was still fruit within. I also tried to use natural light and shadows - on the kitchen table. Please give me your opinion of this photo.

This is not ver apealing to me. It almost slipped by....;~}
Love the colors of the table, shadows and bananna peal. If it had Chiquita bananna sticker it could qualify for an advertisement...

Wonderful Photograph, Great Colors and Clarity. Very well presented.

Thanks for sharing,
Peter Daniel

WOW - You are a very talented photographer! I really like the lighting aspect - it creates a very cosy feel. I feel like I'm at home when I look at this photo, yet this is something so simple. Reminds me of being near a fireplace in a cottage...so that is why it appeals a lot to me. However, the originality of the banana itself - being still-life is not that original...which is why I only ticked 'good'. I believe perhaps you could try using height to create something a lil offbeat...for example, a long wire as a pole...on the table...(something that is not a typical object such as fruit or plant). Hope I am being clear here!! winks

Alice,

I like the idea and the image well. The blurriness towards the front and the detail towards the back of the image work well. I wonder if the idea you were going for would have worked well if the DOF were flipped. I am not entirely sure about the lighting - it seems a little too strong but I will give you points for natural lighting because it is my preferred light source. ;)
