Crows are the blackest of black in Australia so this one is unusual for me.
Even though they are scavengers, they are admirable birds and an accepted part of Australian culture. We refer to them proverbially to express the notion of the shortest distance between two points; we say things like, "It's 40 kms as the crow flies".
