About	This was taken while on a walk on one of the paths in Avenue Of The Giants State Parks. Strong winds will sometimes blow one of the big trees down. Over time, the tree becomes the foundation for new generations of forest life. Here, the downed tree has a growth of ferns and other plants that will be the renewed forest.
