About A very small (about 1/2 cm,) long legged, fly specimen which is leopard spotted. It is a focus stack, hand-held field stack without flash. I'll have to submit a sample to BugGuide for identification. Magnification is greater than 3:1.
The fly has now been identified by BugGuide as Anthomyiidae (Root-Maggot Flies) - pluvialis.
